A carnival day usually starts with eating breakfast and drinking Aalborg Akvavit with your friends or family, after which the fun dressing up begins. Tommas Jørgensen has included Obelix, Lillefix, an Indian, a cowboy, Alf, a dog, an action figure, a pearl chain, feathers and not least a beautiful mask as symbols of the many different festive costumes that carnival participants wear. And then there is a beautiful, sky blue background, reminiscent of the sky on a sunny carnival day.

At carnival you can be whoever you want to be and party with like-minded people! The feeling and festive memories can now be put up on your wall thanks to Tommas Jørgensen's art.

  • Poster - Aalborg Karneval 2024 - Tine Helleshøj
    Width: / Height:
    EUR 27,00
    In stock
The original carnival work and poster was unveiled in Galerie Wolfsen April 19. The strong and colorful motif will be an eternal reminder of the fantastic tradition that Aalborg Carnival is.

Tine Helleshøj captures the spirit and energy of the carnival in her very own and unique way. The two main figures are beautifully done with detailed patterns and contrasts of colour. The main figures show a female body shape and a male body shape, but both bodies and the faces can be anyone - any carnival participant. The figures carry symbols that symbolize the many different festive costumes worn by carnival participants. The female figure has big hair and wears a crown, a mask and a mermaid tail. The male figure also wears a crown and a mask, and he is wearing a large vine leaf.

The background scene shows cultural elements and symbols that represent the diversity of the carnival. There are musical notes symbolizing the loud and festive music of a carnival day, a rainbow symbolizing the diversity of the carnival participants, a bottle and a glass symbolizing the alcohol consumed on the festive day, a trident symbolizing mermaid costumes and/or devil costumes, green bushes that symbolize the carnival festivities in Kildeparken.

Tine Helleshøj states that she wanted to create a feeling of celebration, colours, freedom and cohesion with the carnival artwork . All in the spirit of Aalborg carnival - as well as a feeling we can take with us into everyday life, the feeling that we can be whatever or whoever we want to be. She wanted to create a harmonious and classic work, which can hopefully create joy where it hangs for many years to come - well beyond the carnival season.

  • Plakat – Blokhus 2022 – In the Air – Ole Ahlberg
    Width: 70 cm / Height: 100 cm
    EUR 50,00
    In stock
The new poster 'In the Air' portrays Kaptajn Haddock, Tintin and Terry, who all look at a very interesting cloud. When our automatic reaction is to search for the erotic twist, it is because we know by now that Ole Ahlberg always places Tintin in erotic situations. That is the genius touch in this artwork - the fact that Ole Ahlberg has taught us his unique Tintin universe and language - even when it is well-hidden.
  • Poster - Grand Opening 2024 - Ole Ahlberg
    Width: 70 cm / Height: 100 cm
    EUR 50,00
    In stock
Ole Ahlberg art poster made for Grand Opening in Skagen, july 2024. This poster has its motif from the beautiful original oil painting called ”Orange Sky”.

Through his many paintings, Ole Ahlberg (born 1949) has made the Tintin character known and loved for his astonishing erotic experiences on the canvas. Over the past decades, Ole Ahlberg has become highly recognized and famous at home and abroad for these paintings, which are characterized by their level of detail and painterly perfection, and which contain a strong contrast in the form of the young innocent journalist being portrayed in the company of scantily clad ladies in sexual poses. Tintin is synonymous with the good, the fine and the pure, but in Ole Ahlberg's art, another and more unconventional side of the beloved figure can be seen, namely a voyeur who either only watches or is almost involuntarily involved in various erotic situations.

So here it is - the brand new Gregers Albrechtsen poster! The poster is printed in connection with Gregers Albrechtsen's solo exhibition in Skagen in week 42 2023. The motif is from Gregers Albrechtsen's beautiful, original oil painting 'Amager - Skagen'.

The self-taught artist was born in 1976 and lives in Copenhagen. He is known for creating surreal universes where he works with history and the subconscious. His works are technically sharp, strong and thought-provoking. He creates works that quickly arouse the viewer's curiosity, and you can easily immerse yourself in the spectacular works - they take you on an emotional journey through time and place.

In the works, we often see Greger mixing history into our modern universe, and often with strong contrasts – e.g. between light and dark colors, the beautiful and the ugly in the world, etc.
