The motif on this poster is a powerful visual expression by Simon Nelke – an explosion of colors, energy and modern artistic finesse. The abstract flowers create a dynamic atmosphere that catches the eye from a distance and lures you closer.
The soft, dusty background stands in perfect contrast to the neon-like colors, giving the work a raw and refined character. It feels alive, spontaneous and luxurious – exactly the kind of art that transforms a room.

The poster was printed on the occasion of Simon Nelke's solo exhibition at Galerie Wolfsen in November 2025 and functions not only as a souvenir, but as a work of art in itself. The poster is ideal for those who want a modern, colorful piece of art for their home.

    The poster measures 120 x 90 cm.

To bring what lies beneath into the light, layer by layer. To place the shadows of the visible in the foreground and make the hidden the motif. This form of artistic creation is what drives Simon Nelke (1982).

Since the beginning of his studies, Nelke has engaged with people and human figures with a noticeable persistence.
Simon Nelke makes people the protagonists of his works, where multiple layers and partially torn-off oil paint form the foundation of his distinctive technique. Earlier and newer layers together constitute the completed piece.

Nelke’s colour palette is extensively spectral – meaning that it primarily consists of the intense and pure colour of each hue – and only occasionally includes black and white components to lighten or darken the tones. His style is often flat, while the oil paint is applied in a partially impasto manner, spread thickly onto the canvas like an unthinned, dough-like mass.

Simon Nelke graduated from the Freie Kunstschule Hamburg in 2011.
